Watersound Town Center Fall Events: Your 2026 Pavilion Guide

"Bring your chairs, coolers, and dancing shoes." The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County used that line to promote its First Friday Fall Concert Series. The address that goes with it is 85 Origins Main Street, the covered Pavilion at Watersound Town Center.

From October through December, that Pavilion is the starting line, the stage, the art market and the festival ground for most of what is happening in Watersound. It sits inside a shopping center on the US 98 corridor, next to the Watersound Origins entrance. Discover Watersound Weekend wraps up today, October 4, with a 2 to 6 p.m. block party at the Pavilion featuring live music, food trucks, games and family activities. Today's block party is the first of several Pavilion events on the calendar this fall.

Why a Shopping Center Works as a Gathering Place

Event space in a town center only gets used if people can park, eat and pick up what they forgot. Watersound Town Center covers all three. The center includes a Publix Supermarket with a pharmacy, deli and bakery, and Publix Liquors sits next door. In its promotion of the concerts, the Cultural Arts Alliance points to easy parking and plenty of room to spread out.

The food options have grown with the event calendar. The center's food and drink directory now lists:

  • Ambrosia Prime Seafood & Steaks, for a sit-down dinner with seafood, steaks, a bar and a patio
  • Scout Sports Tavern, a full-service spot that St. Joe reported had recently opened as of November 2025; before it opened, St. Joe described the planned menu as elevated American pub food and craft cocktails
  • Village Market at Watersound Town Center, serving local seafood, Southern classics and dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world
  • Friends 30A Burger Bar, for smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, tenders and milkshakes
  • Jersey Mike's Subs, which St. Joe confirmed was open as of June 30, 2026
  • Marco's Pizza, with takeout and delivery
  • Starbucks, Sweet Henrietta's for cakes, cookies and coffee drinks, and Nigel's Bananas for frozen bananas and dipped key lime pie

For a 6 p.m. concert, that range covers most evenings. You can pick up dinner to carry over to the lawn, sit down at Ambrosia Prime after the music ends at 8, or grab dessert from Sweet Henrietta's on the walk back to the car. Food is also sold at the concerts themselves, and the Alliance recommends coming early to get a bite and find your spot. If you have older shopping-center lists saved, note that Bahama Buck's is no longer part of this roster.

October Starts on the Porches, Then Returns to the Pavilion

October's first community event after this weekend is the one that leaves the Pavilion. Watersound Origins Porchfest is on Sunday, October 11. Performers play on front porches and lawns throughout the Origins neighborhood, with food trucks and lawn games. According to 30A.com, it runs from 3 to 7 p.m., and the Town Center events listing describes it as free and open to the public.

Two weeks later, everything comes back to the Pavilion. Run Watersound is on Saturday, October 24, an annual 5K and 10K through Watersound Origins followed by music and a post-race gathering. Both races start and finish at the Pavilion. Here are the details from the race's registration page:

  1. Friday, October 23, 4 to 6 p.m. Packet pickup at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach, 11299 US-98 C-104.
  2. Saturday, October 24, 7 a.m. Race-morning packet pickup at the Pavilion.
  3. 8:00 a.m. The 10K starts.
  4. 8:10 a.m. The 5K starts.

Registration is open online through the Run Watersound registration page, with no residency requirement listed. Entry is $40 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K. Since the finish line is a short walk from Starbucks and Sweet Henrietta's, post-race coffee is easy to find.

The First Weekend of November Fills All Three Days

November's two Pavilion events fall on the same weekend, and the Cultural Arts Alliance promotes them together. On Friday, November 6, the First Friday Fall Concert Series brings the Webb Wilder Trio with opener Jessica Willis Fisher, from 6 to 8 p.m. Two days later, on Sunday, November 8, the Alliance's Flutterby Arts Festival returns to the Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The festival celebrates the Monarch migration with hands-on art activities, live performances, student art exhibits and a butterfly parade. The Holiday Artist Market is back by popular demand, which gives the festival a head start on holiday shopping. Admission is free. Some activities require tickets, which are sold at the Alliance's welcome and information tents at the event, and on-site parking includes accessible spaces.

That Friday is also one of the busiest evenings of the fall along 30A. Here is how the area calendar lines up:

Date Event Location
Friday, Nov. 6 First Friday concert: Webb Wilder Trio with Jessica Willis Fisher Pavilion at Watersound Town Center
Friday, Nov. 6 30A BBQ Festival Grand Boulevard
Fri.–Sat., Nov. 6–7 Mountainfilm on Tour WaterColor Marina Park Amphitheater
Sunday, Nov. 8 Flutterby Arts Festival Pavilion at Watersound Town Center

The Watersound concert is free and close to home. If you plan to catch Mountainfilm too, its Saturday, November 7 date leaves Friday open for the Pavilion and Sunday open for Flutterby.

The Center Around the Pavilion Keeps Filling In

The reason the Pavilion calendar matters more this fall is the growth of the center around it. In its August 20 update, St. Joe put Watersound Town Center at about 170,000 square feet and 98% leased. Most of the newest tenants are shops and fitness studios. St. Joe's June 30 release listed FP Movement, Hemline, Monkee's and Sunset Shoes & Lifestyles as recently opened, along with Lagree 30A and Jersey Mike's. Johnnie-O had opened by August 20.

Anthropologie has signed a lease for a store of about 9,000 square feet, including an Anthropologie Weddings bridal shop.

That same August release says construction has started on the building for Anthropologie and other tenants that have not been named yet. St. Joe has not announced an opening date. A second retail building is expected to break ground later in 2026. The larger plan calls for about 400,000 square feet in total, though that remains a plan for now.

In September, St. Joe also launched Watersound Weddings & Events, a planning service for its hotels and venues. The service is available now, and its Town Center storefront is expected in early 2027. This fall, expect construction activity near the Pavilion on concert nights and festival mornings. Plan a few extra minutes for parking until the new buildings are finished.

December Ends the Series at the Same Pavilion

The concert series wraps up on Friday, December 4, with the Michelle Malone Trio. That night also brings back the Art Bazaar, open from 4 to 8 p.m. with local artists and makers selling original work before and during the music. Combined with Flutterby's Holiday Artist Market in November, that gives the Pavilion two local-maker markets this season, both free and both within walking distance of Publix.

Between those two Pavilion dates, the busiest stretch of the season moves west down 30A. Alys Beach Crafted, the food, drink and makers-market event, is listed by its organizer for November 11 through 15. Another event listing shows November 11 through 14, so check the organizer's site before you book a final-night ticket. On Thanksgiving morning, November 26, the 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Races run in Rosemary Beach, with 10K, 5K and 1-mile options. Watersound's own fall race takes place a month earlier and a few minutes east, starting and finishing at the Pavilion.

As Watersound Town Center adds shops, dining and event space, it is reasonable to ask how that growth shapes everyday convenience and the long-term value of homes nearby. Anthony Rose follows these openings as closely as the market data and is happy to talk through what the next phase of construction could mean for your corner of Watersound.
